Training costs

The country district of Bayreuth founded in 1997 the Vocational College for Hotel Management in Pegnitz. This college is the first vocational institution for qualified young students in the hotel and catering trade in Bavaria. For that reason there is no education charge for the Vocational College for Hotel Management Pegnitz. Students are entitled to get BAföG (stately scholarship) for the education as well as for the recommended practical internship abroad. Expenses for books, education related clothes and the vocational materials are about € 700. Expenses for study-tours, excursions and for additonal optional qualification as well as for exam fees therefore are to be financed by the students on their own. 

The costs of living in Pegnitz are quite reasonable.
